Shatian Toll Station on the Panguan Expressway

Xuefen Mountain Tunnel

Shatian Toll Station on the Panguan Expressway.

This system adopts a monitoring center and segmented monitoring of the line, with a monitoring sub-station set up in each segment. High-definition IP Camaras are used for monitoring in each segment of the line, and the video information is aggregated through a ring network switch (using VTK-I3042GS-POE), and then the monitoring points are converged at the monitoring sub-station through ring network redundancy (using VTK-I3084GS). The monitoring sub-station uploads the aggregated video information to the gigabit switch in the monitoring center through the gigabit Ethernet switch(in this solution, the VTK-I302484GS full gigabit rack-mounted industrial Ethernet switch is selected), and then transmits the video information to the monitoring screen for real-time control of the traffic situation on the highway.

Access Layer

As an access layer device, the VTK-I3084GS-POE provides 8 Gigabit PoE ports + 4 Gigabit SFP ports, with ports 1-8 supporting PoE in compliance with IEEE802.3af/at standards, and providing a maximum output of 30W per port. The device features an industrial-grade structural design that is sturdy and flexible, able to withstand harsh environments such as high temperature, humidity, strong seismic activity, and electromagnetic interference at toll stations. At the same time, PoE ports can provide network power to devices such as IP cameras in toll booths and lanes, saving power and cabling and making it more conducive to on-site installation and maintenance. In addition, it supports PoE power management, QoS traffic priority management, and VLAN management, which can optimize and manage the toll system network to ensure the priority transmission of important data.

Aggregation Layer

As an aggregation layer switch, the VTK-I5324GCX provides 24 Gigabit electrical ports + 8 Gigabit optical-electric multiplexing ports + 4 10 Gigabit SFP fiber ports, with a backplane bandwidth of up to 598Gbps and three-layer network management functions. Based on standard network protocols, the VTK-I302484GS builds an industrial-grade 10 Gigabit network architecture from the access layer to the aggregation layer, providing greater network bandwidth and stronger load capacity, enabling efficient transmission of toll data, and compatible with the security video monitoring network and office network systems in toll stations. It also supports ring network redundancy technology with a self-recovery time of ≤20ms, which can quickly recover from network failures and ensure uninterrupted communication of important equipment.
