The VistoTek VTK-SDS5162G-RM Serial Communication Server is a device that converts 16 dispersed, low-speed, and different standard RS232/485 serial devices into Ethernet for centralized management. It is equipped with a dual-core 880MHz industrial-grade CPU, 2GB RAM, 1 x 1000M Ethernet port, 1 x SFP fiber optic port, and supports baud rates up to 921600bps per serial port. Typically, the host computer connects to the serial device server via TCP client to enable transparent bidirectional communication with serial devices. The VTK-SDS5162G-RM Serial Communication Server supports multiple operating modes, including TCP Server mode, TCP Client mode, UDP Server mode, UDP Client mode, and MODBUS RTU to MODBUS TCP Server mode. It also supports driver installation, enabling virtual COM ports for all 16 serial ports. This product has been widely applied in data center monitoring, switch and router production testing, remote management of telecom network equipment, energy scheduling, chemical plant informatization, building automation, and other industrial applications.
